I never set out to be a stylist.
I was just shopping. Pulling pieces. Putting things together the way my eye told me to.
And then I'd look up — and there would be customers. Following me. Watching what I was picking. Waiting to see what I'd do next.
I'd think: go make your own outfit! 😂
But they kept coming back. Because they could see it — the way a striped blazer becomes a statement. The way a hot pink brooch ties a whole look together. The way vintage pieces that have no business being in the same outfit somehow become the only outfit.
That eye didn't come from fashion school. It came from years of loving the hunt, trusting the instinct, and refusing to settle for ordinary.

💚 The Black & White Stripe Story
I found a black and white striped blazer. No brand name. No designer label. Just a great piece with great bones.
Most people would have walked past it.
I saw the whole outfit.
I paired it with a black and white striped Betsey Johnson bag — hot pink bow on the front. Hot pink heels. Hot pink brooch on the lapel. Done.
The compliments didn't stop.
You don't need a designer name on the tag. You need an eye for the story the piece is trying to tell — and the confidence to finish it.
💚 The Hospital Runway
The ladies at the hospital used to look forward to my outfits. Every. Single. Day.
I'd find a pair of heels I loved and order them in every color — especially if they had bows and ankle straps. Because why have one when you can have the whole story?
One day: blue and white polka dot top. Hot pink striped blazer. Bright pink tied bow. Jeans. Hot pink shoulder bag with a blue ribbon tied on the handle. Blue heels to match the top.
Polka dots and stripes. Pink and blue. Bows on the shoes AND the bag.
They said tone it down. The hallway said otherwise. Color talks, pattern plays, and accessories are never an afterthought. They're the whole point.
Angela's 7 Styling Rules That Aren't Really Rules
1. Let the piece lead.
When something stops you in your tracks — pick it up. Your instinct already knows what it goes with. Trust it.
2. Mix patterns like you mean it.
Stripes with polka dots. Plaid with florals. The secret is keeping the color story consistent. When the colors talk to each other, the patterns can do whatever they want.
3. Accessories are the outfit.
A brooch on a lapel. A ribbon tied on a bag handle. A bow on a heel. These are not finishing touches — they are the point. Never skip them.
4. Buy the shoe in every color.
When you find a silhouette you love — especially if it has a bow or an ankle strap — get it in every color you can. Build your story from the ground up.
5. Vintage doesn't need a label to have value.
The piece with no brand name and great bones will outlast the trendy designer item every time. Shop for structure, quality, and character — not logos.
6. Pink is always professional.
They told Angela to tone it down. She didn't. Polished is a standard, not a color. Wear what makes you walk taller and own every room you enter.
7. The compliments will come.
When you dress with intention — when every piece has a reason and every accessory has a purpose — people notice. They always do.
Caring for Your Vintage Pieces
Vintage luxury deserves a little extra love. Here's how to keep your RCMF pieces looking flawless:
- Blazers & structured pieces — hang immediately after wearing, steam don't iron, dry clean for deep cleaning
- Handbags — store stuffed with tissue to hold shape, keep away from direct sunlight, condition leather seasonally
- Jewelry & brooches — store separately to avoid scratching, wipe with a soft cloth after wearing, keep away from moisture
- Silk & delicate fabrics — hand wash cold or dry clean only, lay flat to dry, never wring
- Shoes — use shoe trees or stuff with tissue, rotate pairs to extend life, condition leather regularly
